Born and raised in the heart of Los Angeles, Mary Claire is a curvy and petite third-generation Angeleno.
She's a SAG-AFTRA / AEA American thespian out of CalArts' MFA Acting Program, with a strong focus in Speech Pedagogy. She subsequently taught courses at CalArts including Institute Acting, Speech / Voice for Non-Actors, and various American English dialects to both MFA and BFA students from around the world.
Whether on screen or stage, booth or volume, MC shines particularly bright as a comedienne and portrays dramatic roles with nuanced precision. She is a four-time Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Best Acting nominee.
She possesses traits comparable to the comedic spitfire of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the dark vulnerability found in Kathy Bates, Winona Ryder’s quirkiness, the unapologetic pizzazz of Megan Mullally, paired with American Ferrera's youthful strength. This to say, Mary Claire is one of a kind.
